What are these licenses and how to make sense of them?

If your website is based on Bitrix:

• License purchase — a Bitrix-based website will only work with a valid license for the first year after launch. Not renewing the license for the following year won’t break the site, but is recommended, since module updates (including security patches) are only available with an active license.
• License renewal — if your previous license has expired but you’d like to receive updates again, we can help arrange the renewal and ensure a smooth transition from older Bitrix modules to the new ones.
• License upgrade — if your site has grown and needs more advanced features for scaling, upgrading your license will unlock additional system modules to help meet your new requirements. A comparison of available editions is shown above in the “Comparison” tab.

If your website is not based on Bitrix:

When migration can be useful:

• You need unique software available only on the CMS platforms listed above — for example, a specialized client management module that your current platform doesn’t support.
• You’ve heard many good things about one of these CMS platforms and want to take advantage of its benefits on your website.
• Your project has grown, and you now require more powerful software for faster and more efficient operations. For example, previously you accepted orders through the website but processed them manually — now you want a fully functional online store with online payments, warehouse management, and delivery integrations.
• You currently don’t use any CMS. In this case, switching to a content management system will make it significantly easier to manage your website: text formatting, working with images, creating new pages… All of this is done through a web interface, meaning you’ll only need to log in through a browser to make changes via the admin panel.

• Add a wide range of additional modules to handle specific tasks (polls, e-learning, A/B testing, social networking, web messenger, and many more), both from the standard kit and via Marketplace.
• Customize any functionality for your specific needs and expand it as your business grows.
• Get reliable and timely technical support from the official developer.
